01. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time / 2 out of 5 / Bring back Square, Nintendo!
02. Mario Kart DS / 4 out of 5 / Classic Mario Kart. Wifi play needed a lot more work, and I haven’t had many chances to play multiplayer but I’m sure that’s good.
03. Kirby Canvas Curse / 1½ out of 5 / SOLD / It was the game that really made me want the DS but after playing an hour or so I didn't want to bother with it anymore. Can’t say for sure if it’s a bad game or not but it just didn’t matter to me.
04. Animal Crossing: Wild World / 3 out of 5 / SOLD / It lasted for about a month and a half. I played at least an average of one hour a day so at the least it lasted me 40+ hours.
05. Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan! [JPN] / 4½ out of 5 / *THE* import game to get, IMO. I'm indifferent to JPN music and I watch my fair share of anime (I skip the OPs/EDs for the most part) but the music is quirky and "enjoyable." Some of them are actually pretty good. It’s a challenging game, as well.
06. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney / 3 out of 5 / SUBJECT TO CHANGE / In the middle of case 3. I’m already used to this style of comedy and I thought the characters needed more work, in regards to their back story. Still enjoyable.
07. Feel the Magic / 2 out of 5 / Fun while it lasted. Maybe I'll try to get 100% later on. All I cared about was the love story and getting different outfits. Most of the minigames got boring.
08. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow / 3 out of 5 / SUBJECT TO CHANGE / Looks a lot better than CV:AoS but the attacking/moving seems slower compared to AoS. Only a few hours in but I already don’t want to collect souls… I’m not the biggest Castlevania fan.
09. New Super Mario Bros. / 5 out of 5 / A few shortcomings but there's no reason not to buy it unless you’re full of contempt for our plump ‘lil plumber. You’ll have to make up challenges for yourself if you want to get the most out of it after completing the game.
10. Super Princess Peach / 1 out of 5 / SOLD / This game's difficulty makes NSMB look like rocket science. Everything seems to be easily found and I digress about how good it could have been… It’s enjoyable for a few worlds but damn did I start to dislike it… I don’t even want to finish it anymore.
11. Trace Memory / T.B.A.
12. Puyo Pop Fever / 2½ out of 5 / SOLD / It's a fun puzzle game, similar to Puzzle Fighter but not. It's lacking in modes to play. I had to quit on puzzle games after this because I'm just too slow now to play well. It’s too bad I never got to try the multiplayer.
13. Bleach DS [JPN] / 4 out of 5 / I'm a bigger fan of One Piece but this fighting game is very fun. I'm usually not a fighting game fan but other than most of the moves being similar in control, I haven't felt love like this for a fighting game since Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Lots of stuff to unlock. I wish there were even more characters to get. I'd die if they made a sequel of this with all the additional characters/moves in the manga.
14. Densetsu no Stafi 4 [JPN] / T.B.A.
15. Brain Age / 3 out of 5 / I’m in my 3rd week of owning this game and it’s still a daily use. It could have done with more stuff to do but it’s still good. Never understood Sudoku until this game and I’m liking it.
16. Lost in Blue / T.B.A.
17. Tennis no Ouji-sama 2005: Crystal Drive [JPN] / T.B.A.
18. Trauma Center: Under the Knife / T.B.A.

Other games I've played (demo or borrowed), quick impressions...

- Super Mario 64 DS / Fair / I loved the N64 version but I really didn't like the controls here. If I had gotten used to it, though... a score of 4+?
- Sonic Rush / Good / Very quick paced. Dual screen usage was very good. My friend tells me it's a very short game. I'm not a big fan of Sonic to begin with.
- Metroid Prime Hunters / Ehh... / Like SM64DS, I couldn't stand getting used to the controls. A FPS on a handheld just sounds crazy, though.
- Jump Superstars [JPN] / Ehh... / I know from reading manga and watching anime, most, if not all of the characters in the game, and I think that the concept is awesome (like Super Smash Bros.) but I really didn’t like the way the battles went from the little I played of it. It’s supposedly similar to SSB (N64 version was the last one I played) but it’s so far below SSB that it isn’t even worth mentioning them in the same breath. I might pick up JSS2 just for the novelty of it, though. I did not get to use any komas, though, which are supposed to be special team moves?
- Meteos / Fair / I played the download station demo. It was fun but I'm really too slow for puzzle games now (see Puyo Pop Fever). I don't think quickly at all. It made me want to pick up Brain Age to sharpen my mind, though. I might pick this up sometime but I'm not so sure.
- Tetris DS / Ehh... / It just didn't seem to be as fun as my sister's GBC version of a Tetris game. I only played push mode and I was expecting it to be a lot of fun but it really wasn't. Maybe the original modes are better.
- True Swing Golf / Ehh... / For golf enthusiasts only? Sorry, didn’t get too much time with it but it didn’t seem too fun.

These are entirely my opinion. Most of the scores not labeled, "subject to change," can still be changed but only if I don't like how the game stacks with a game or games with the same number. EX: I upgraded Bleach DS from 3½ to 4 since I believe it to be better than Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

Note: I haven't updated the reviews in a few weeks so... yeah.

Please tell me the Jets don't take D'Brickashaw. Not to say he won't be great on the O-line but I want to see anyone from Reggie Bush, Vince Young, to Jay Cutler.

Edit [Apr. 30]: Ah, well. Guess we're holding down the O-line of the future. Wonder if they think Kellen Clemson, was it?, is our QB of the future. We're going to be down a RB and QB soon, enough, and I have no idea about next year's draft. Brady Quinn and the guy from UCLA?

I think it's just about gotten me back into video games. The PS2 killed me (off the top of my head, I only really liked Kingdom Hearts and God of War) and this lasted about 3-4 years.

Currently playing: Animal Crossing Wild World, Phoenix Wright, and Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan!.

Small things but I remembered them... Saitou-san swimming into Momo-sensei's vaginal area... Koyuki doing some sort of excersize near a tree after a problem he had... Why the hell did they change "Sister" into "Face"?

Yes it's free, for now I can afford the hosting ($20 a month) and would be paying it anyway since I wanted my own site to blog from. (Although ironically now I'll probably do maestro.animeblogger.net instead. *LOL*)

Yes a free E-mail account with it, that's not a biggie, I have about 3000 accounts I can setup so I'm not going to run out for a while. I'll run out of free subdomains (user.animeblogger.net) first. (Only 150 of them.) That includes Webmail access BTW, but you should be able to access it through POP and IMAP if you want. I can also make you an aliase (user@animeblogger.net) that forwards to an existing E-mail account, or if you want you can forego an E-mail account altogether.

You can use whatever blogging software you like (Movable Type, Word Press, etc.) I can give you shell access to setup what you need, or let me know and I'll set it up for you. If you need a MySQL database let me know, I'll have to set those up and enable access to it for you. It's not a big deal, just the way my hosting works.

Other stuff: Well any questions please ask me, I'm still sorting out all the details myself, I just came up with this idea last week. :)

Someone asked how I plan to pay for it. Like I said I can afford this plan without a problem for now, by the time it reaches a point where I need more, I should have enough traffic going to to the site to start doing some advertising (on the main site only). If that fails I can always beg for donations. :) Seriously though, I don't want the site to be a pain for anyone, but do want it to become self-sufficient eventually. I also have other things in the works that I can build up after I get a site with traffic to it.
Bottom Line: No, I will not advertise on your sites without permissions, and hope to never need ads on individual blogs ever. In the worst case, if I have to go to ads on blogs, existing blogs will not be affected, new ones will. Frankly I consider all those signing up now as beta testers, or more accurately, advisors, to help me build the best community-focused anime blogging site. I do ask that you include a link to the main site somewhere on the blog. Obviously right now it's not really needed since there's nothing there. ^_^;;;

I should note that I consider sites like blogger.com and blogspot.com very limiting. I plan to always offer more freedom than they do. I'll also be quite happy to give you space and let you point your domain to it if you'd like.

And yes, I probably am nuts, but I think this is something that can work if done right. Too many sites lose track of their actually community base and ruin things. You guys I'm quite sure will keep me honest. If I do something funky you'll let me know ASAP I'm sure. ^_^;;;

Just like Gundam Seed Destiny, I hadn't watched this 'till now. Even if I did mention to watch it. Don't get me wrong, I've read the manga about 3x over ever since I found v01-v12 or so of Beck from MS.

The anime is pretty nice. Not that the music is any good. Possibly the only two anime shows I liked more then 3 songs from were Gundam Seed and Cowboy Bebop (there is no doubt CB's music owns.) I prefer hearing nothing in the manga then what I've heard so far. NOTHING! That gaijin scene was annoying, too. JAPAN NEEDS TO STOP MENTIONING NEW YORK! It makes me cry to hear my city mentioned.

"My friends in NY died," my ass.

The English spoken in the anime isn't too bad, but it'll piss you off if you really wanted them to be perfect. There was also this bootleg Japanglish (think Spanglish) which got annoying.

"Those are never kuko-owie (my crappy pronunciation translation of the word cool) guys."

To those that have been following the manga but cried when it was licensed. MangaOne, a former AnimeOne sub-division, started from Beck v20. There's two chapters out so far.

Here's to hoping the new girl has something for Koyuki. Not that I dislike Maho. I miss her after watching Beck but someone once said, "what's life without a little romance?" and I like that saying.

That's what most people would think if they heard me speak. I throw racial slurs like they're not slurs at all. You won't believe that I laugh at the Japanese being great/playing well/etc. at (American) football (Eyeshield21), basketball (Slam Dunk & Dear Boys), boxing (Ippo), and there's probably more sports to list. I just don't believe it. Most of it seems fake. Not that I don't like the sports genre in anime/manga. It just makes me chuckle sometimes.

I just watched the first two episodes of Buzzer Beater.

You may wonder how the first paragraph had anything to do with Buzzer Beater but my train of mind brings up thoughts of racism. I say it now as to not surprise you later on.

Buzzer Beater is one of INOUE Takehiko's earlier works or at least I think it is. You may know Takehiko from Slam Dunk, the best basketball anime/manga so far. BB on the other hand is meh. We have ANOTHER annoying basketball player in Hideyoshi (Sakuragi was damn annoying, too) and this time, instead of black men dominating the sport, aliens have taken up the sport and dominates mankind. The best team is some Chicago Bulls rip-off (alien version) and there's a young guy leading the team named Gyuma who's probably a rip-off of Jordan. Hideyoshi probably becomes some kind of eternal rival to him later on or something. We have the intergalatic league in this and Earthlings are no match for the aliens. We see a Korean team playing for godsake. All I wondered was what happened to the black men...

Gundam SEED Destiny looks so nice...

I should get to watching the sequel of my favorite Gundam anime... I was rewatching Gundam SEED and I'm still a dozen or so episodes away.

Lucas looks great, too. Also looks like I'll like two or three of the new characters. I just hope nothing bad happens to Lucas or Kira. I like them too much...

MANGA: My-HiME

Genre: Shounen: Comedy / Romance / Fanservice / Action

I'm sure you know what this is, since this is one of the most watched anime titles in 2004 and it's still going.

The manga on the other hand gets a lot less love even though they started at about the same time. The My-HiME manga is a different telling of the My-HiME story (with the same characters - there are some differences in personalities from the anime to manga) starring Tate instead of our heroine Mai. Not that Mai isn't shown a lot. It turns out some of the stuff done in the anime is explained in the manga pretty quickly so that rocked. It's different but at least we get an answer and don't have to wait. The manga puts a bigger emphasis on comedy, romance, and fanservice then the anime does. It's also little less serious then what you've probably been watching.

Tate has just arrived as a new student for Fuuka Gakuen and watches as a girl crying passes him by. Takeda Masashi (who's in his 3rd year in the manga) is his neighbor in the dorm he'll be staying at and he seems a lot more friendly. Masashi takes out Tate's shiinai but Tate seems to have problems with it and there's a big gash on his arm. The next day, Tate's late for his first day of school and while running an explosion happens behind him. It turns out it was Mai and Natsuki fighting it out. Natsuki goes after Tate because she believes he's someone's "key" but we later find out Tate is the "key" for both Natsuki and Mai. A key turns out to be the only way for a Child to be summoned and Tate's needed by Natsuki but Mai tries to be a nice girl and says she doesn't need him. It was cute when Natsuki names Tate Slave-kun.

The manga makes Natsuki a funner person but those that fell in love with the feigning indifferent Natsuki from the anime might not like the manga version. I personally love her since I wasn't a maniac of the anime in the first place. Natsuki's love for mayo is more prevalent in the manga, too. Natsuki and Mai are both little by little falling for our hero, Tate, and Tate for them. We're also rid of that ever annoying Shiho. It turns out she was almost raped but Tate stops his upper classmen from doing her anymore harm but Tate gets kicked out of a school he had a Kendo scholarship from (the reason he left and was invited by Fuuka Gakuen.) Shiho actually shows up and will probably stay starting from the end of ch22.

BECK

Yukio (also called Koyuki) is somewhat of a loser. He's not very popular, athletic or musically talented. In fact his favorite musician is an idol singer.

His life seems to be on an upswing when he gets reacquainted with a childhood friend, Izumi and when he meets Ryusuke, a musician with connections to the very popular American band, Dying Breed.

Through Izumi and Ryusuke, Yukio becomes acquainted with the world of rock music and finds that he loves the Dying Breed. He then aspires to be a musician and begins to learn the guitar. His quick progress with the guitar and his incredible voice earn him a spot in Ryusuke's band, Beck.

Hostile's note: Koyuki has a voice greater than Jesus -- don't like the songs like me, read the manga.

Gakuen Alice

Mikan is a girl full of energy living in a town somewhere in the country. She followed her best friend Hotaru who had moved, and she finally found Alice Gakuen which was the school Hotaru attended with it's own little town for the students to reside in. But it was a special school that only those who had special abilities called "Alice" could enter. She managed to temporarily enter the school but many hardships lie ahead. What would become of her school days?

Hostile's note: It has that Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha) vibe or that's what people say.

Gundam SEED Destiny

Absolutely nothing to say. Gundam SEED is one of the reasons that got me to not hate on robots/mecha as much as I used to. RahXephon and Nadesico are the others. I soon downloaded/watched/bought Gundam 0083, Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Gundam Wing and even tried Evangelion. I still prefer SEED to the others, RahXephon to Evangelion, and still don't much like super robots but it did it's job.

Hostile's note: If you want to get into SEED Destiny, watch Gundam SEED first. I'm still very fond of Lacus.

School Rumble

Tsukamoto Tenma is a 2nd year highschool student. Like many girls her age, she has fallen in love. However, currently she is unable to confess her feelings to the person she likes, her classmate, Karasuma Ouji yet. To add to that, she found out that Karasuma is transferring to another school in a year!

Nevertheless, supported by her sister Yakumo and her friends, Tenma tries to confess her feelings through various method like disguising herself as a nurse or firing countless arrow letters at Karasuma.

On the other hand, Harima Kenji, a 2nd year high school student (and a delinquent) is also in love with Tenma. Not being able to confess his feelings, Harima gets depressed day by day. In addition to that, witnessing Tenma and Karasuma having lunch together, the miserable Harima wandered off on a purportless journey.

Hostile's note: The show doesn't really get good until Harima becomes the focus point and he still remains the king when they star the other characters.

SunaBouzu

The Great Kanto Desert!

It is a desert of death where relics of the civilization, which fell hundreds years ago, stand like tombstones. It is severe place to live where it rises 50 degrees centigrade at noon, on the other hand, it becomes below zero degree at night.

SunaBouzu is a handy man in the desert, and he is so to call a professional of the desert. He works only for the self-interest of the clients. In this desert, it is useless to work for the world or for others. The might that realize one's desire has been the only virtue here.

Hostile's note: Don't let that synopsis get to you. Our man Suna is a short little pervert...

Tsukuyomi Moon Phase

Morioka Kouhei wanted to become a photographer, but all pictures he took were of ghosts. While visiting an old castle in Germany he met a vampire girl named Hazuki.

Hazuki was confined in the castle. She tried to suck Kouhei's blood to make him her slave, but somehow it didn't work. However, because he happened to break the device to seal her into the castle, Hazuki successfully escaped from the castle and left for Japan to look for her mother.

When she arrived in Japan, she went to Kouhei's house in which he was living with his grandfather, and began to live with them forcefully. Because Kouhei had also lost his mother during his childhood, Hazuki reminded him of his childhood and helped her to look for her mother. Then, another vampire girl, "Elfried", and Count Kinkell came and tried to take her back.

Hostile's note: I've gotten so annoyed at the neko mimi (cat ears) that Hazuki actually looks cuter without them.

Yakitate!! Japan

Azuma Kazuma is a young baker. He has a dream that he will make Japanese bread, or Ja-pan (Ja is short for Japanese and pan is Japanese for bread), which will be better than any other bread in Japan or the world. He has solar hands, which are warmer palms than those of normal people, and they are very useful for making bread. With his solar hands and creative ideas, he will beat rivals who will appear one after another.

Hostile's note: One of the funniest manga titles I've read and it's still great after 13 volumes - go give it a try at the least.

ANIME: Raimuiro Ryukitan X ep.01

Probably not something you should watch but I will for you. I just have to say I thought Raimuiro Senkitan (the first season and OVA) wasn't as bad as people said it was and if it had ended better, I would have loved it a lot more. Wonder who Shintaro chose in the end... and yes, I actually had to look up his name since it's been so long.

This season really doesn't look so good, though. Possibly the only saving grace is the girls and this set so far is nowhere near as good as the first one. Kyoushirou is the commanding officer of the Apprehension Army Lime Force (the group of girls) and he seems like some hot-blooded fool. Not a big fan of those especially in addition to him being a super robot. Damn super robots...

Ryukitan X takes places a year after the last anime and we're back on the Amanohara (I think that was the name) and it turns out the ship's medium, the chibi triplets, the nurse and the ship's captain is still there.

We have Tsumugi (the blonde with glasses), Iinishiki (she looks like a kendo girl and possibly the most mysterious), Kasuri (loli ninja?), Aya (clumsy scientist), and Shuro (the most adult-looking and sort of boyish). I have no idea about any of the enemies but it doesn't look like they have some backstory with Kyoushirou like Shintaro had.

ANIME: UG Ultimate Girl ep.04

It's the annual check-up where pervert doctors are allowed to look at girls in bras and panties and check their weight and bra size. Shouldn't it be only female teachers/nurses that are allowed to check the girls? Good stuff either way. Tsubomi grabs Silk's breasts and Silk calls her Ecchi Monster. Makoto jumps in, not embarassed at all, and takes pictures trying to look for the monster then leaves soon after Tsubomi tells him she's the monster. The fool would probably toss out those rolls of film, too.

Turns out Vivi has a crush or is in love with Silk but Silk misinterprets it as Vivi liking Makoto. Silk knows she has no chance against Vivi... I'd prefer if Silk didn't all of a sudden become a homosexual but that's only because I like the male and female leads to like each other. Marimite might very well end up being the only anime I'd like watching a girl/girl or boy/boy.

Monster of the Week - MotW - shows up (as I said before, they don't deserve names) and it's some sort of doctor. Makoto rushes out in his motorcycle to take pictures of his love and Silk is scared Makoto might find out she's an Ultimate Girl so Tsobomi rushes in naked and all and grabs UFO Man's genitals to transform. We don't get the crappy transformation scene so at least that's good. UFO Man's a little irked since he doesn't believe Tsubomi can do anything. Tsubomi's losing more and more of her clothing while being photographed by a few dozen people but she's still not getting any M.O.E. power. Ultimate Loli is a smart girl, though, and faints and asks the doctor to take care of her. Nice acting. MotW pulls out his genitals and Tsubomi rips it off with her "Rolling Thunder." Game Over. Tsubomi doesn't mind being found out that she's Ultimate Loli but Vivi tricks her into believe a super hero's identity should remain a secret. Makoto ponders why Ultimate Loli looks familiar to a naked body he's seen. Nothing else to say about this episode other then Silk has a sister and she's the newscaster we see a lot.

ANIME: Futakoi (Fall) Final Impression

Twin Love! So many sets of twins that you can't help but fall for at least one pair. It's like the lazy way out to getting people to like your characters (think of Mahou Sensei Negima! and Negi's class of 31 or so girls.) I DID get tired of the bitching about how most of the twins weren't different enough, though. I thought most real life twins weren't so different from each other, what with the sixth sense and all that shit. Of the 6 set of twins, there were at least 3 that clearly were different from each other - Sara and Soujuu, Sumeireko and Kaoruko, and Momoi-sensei and her sister.

Nozomu is our "loser" protagonist in this harem/romantic/comedy. I almost never look at romantic/comedy protagonists as losers even though a lot of people say they are. I think the kids are just jealous. JEALOUS! Or it could be I place myself into the main character's place (when they're male) since I almost always prefer the main character to be male and there should be some sort of love story in place (what's life without a little romance, right?) I know it's hard for me to like an anime if I don't at least somewhat like the main character. It IS kind of shocking he has 5 of the 6 twins wrapped around his finger, I guess...

I didn't really take to the art since I guess some of them could have looked a little older (similar to Yuuya) but that'll probably be happening in Futakoi (Spring) and I can't wait.

Futakoi ends happily without much of a conclusion and everyone happy. It didn't bother me that much. It does seem like Nozomu would pick Kaoruko in the end, though. Anyone play the game know the "true ending"? I don't know much about Japanese date-sims/hentai games but there's always a true ending, isn't there? I almost thought Nozomu was going to leave for Hawaii when his father asked him to come since he's a coward.

#1 - Sara and Soujuu (they didn't get much screentime but they rock - especially Sara when she's cute)

It's the third chapter since the time jump and I'm just getting pissed Naruto isn't killing. There's no joking that I was shocked to hear most of Naruto's old classmates/friends are now Chuunin and Jounins, though. Also surprised me that Gaara is now the Kazekage but that made sense soon after. His father was the Kazekage before him and after Orochimaru stopped playing his little game, Gaara has a more stable mind and is possibly the strongest fighter in the Sand. I *NEED* to see Naruto owning everyone in fights... meh. There's also more of the Akatsuki in this chapter. Don't give a damn about them.

By the way, it was 100x easier when I used to save all these Naruto chapters up (for 15-20 chapters) instead of waiting for them week-by-week since the time jump.

ANIME: Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ ep.03

I said before that I had something to say in response to a post at Satoshi's Corner (MAHORABA ~HEARTFUL DAYS~ NOTES) and I'll say it now. The way I see it, so far. I think Kozue had the multiple personality disorder around the time Shiratori left. I've heard Mahoraba doesn't get too serious so I'm thinking instead of something serious or very traumatizing, Kozue saw Shiratori naked somehow when they were children (which would explain why she changes when something "sexual" happens) and that in typical romance/comedy fashion she knocked Shiratori out so he's forgotten the whole thing. Note: I could have been proven completely wrong already since I don't pay attention much.

As for episode 03: I haven't even seen it, yet, but I read the manga chapter of it so I only took screencaps. Nanako is cuter then Saki so far. There seems to be a fetish for boxes and umeboshi... I have no idea how Asami was born from her mother, either. Wierdest mother/daughter combo I've seen in awhile. and... I just thought of the Gilmore Girls (WB) for some reason...

ANIME: Comic Party Revolution ep.03

It's been A LONG TIME since I last saw episode 02 so I could barely remember who's who but it was a good episode, none the less. This episode has our group of doujinshi-making whores playing baseball (ain't no softcore softball but unadulterated baseball!)

WARNING: BASEBALL TERMS ARE USED SO IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE GAME, GET THE HELL OUT

The episode starts off with Onsen Panda (Yuu) and Eimi-chan-sama arguing with Minami over the placement of their spots in the next convention. It turns out Panda and Eimi are stuck with the exact same spot and there is absolutely no other place to put them. Minami tries to drop some humility into them by asking them to share but if you've seen ComiPa (I *JUST* noticed that's also short for Comic Party) that they playfully dislike each other. Taishi's annoying self pops in and calls for some sort of battle. We end up with a game of baseball in the end.

Panda is quick to think of Kazuki and in no time tells him he's joined the team and being the nice guy he is... he plays. Taishi of course joins Kazuki and they look for more men. Their next stop? Mizuki! (Kazuki really needs to make Mizuki is girl before it's too late) Mizuki is a softball player who reluctantly joins Panda's team after being told the Koushien wouldn't be a dream by Taishi. Those that watch anime or read manga should probably know but the Koushien is a High School baseball tournament and most of the people in ComiPa are now university students. Chisa (the "onii-chan!" girl) after being bribed with 3k copies to print, Subaru after being asked by Kazuki, Reiko probably joining just to make a cosplay baseball uniform, and Reiko's friends being forced by Panda... we have our (Panda's) team! They have about a week to train and the way they train is... READ BASEBALL MANGA! THE POWER!!

Whatever time has passed and it's the day of the game!

Eimi is pissed off at Panda for being late until they finally appear. We finally meet Eimi-chan-sama's team. We have Eimi (of course), the two annoying comic convention goers we should know full and well (the short, fat man and tall, skinny man), Aya (our cute, silent-type who Kazuki couldn't get in contact with but was asked first by Eimi to play), THE MONSTER! (exclaimation point to prove a point that he is what he is - no idea what his name is), and our two traitors Chisa and Taishi. Chisa was bribed with 5k copies to print from Eimi and it seems Taishi and most likely the "two annoying comic convention goers" were bribed with a free copy of Eimi's latest release.

Both teams don't have the numbers (9 players) but they move forward. Minami is our umpire for the game. Minami asks for the team names to start the game and after a little discussion of Eimi's team name (when the name of the team is clearly written on their uniforms)...

"We'll start the Inobou Rockers vs. Pretty Penguins match!"

"First is the opening ceremony."

Wow... they even had the opening ceremony. Sakura Asahi, an idol, makes the opening pitch and throws a perfect strike (wasn't a good looking pitch, though.) "How'd she do that?!," you ask? Easy! "I watched baseball anime to practice." Panda tells Asahi she's in the team after tossing a cap on her and... there we have it!

"PLAY BALL!"

Mizuki is our pitcher for the Rockers and it turns out she's pretty good. Mizuki gets a K against the leadoff hitter, tall/skinny guy. Chisa is the second at bat and in extremely cutesy swings wildly, hits a small floater to right field and it's good but Chisa is new to the game and gets yelled at by Eimi to run and instead runs to 3rd instead. Chisa's out! The 3rd batter is... THE MONSTER! He hits the first pitch thrown straight into the middle field fence (I mean INTO the fence) and it gets stuck before Subaru pulls it out and THE MONSTER easily takes second by merely walking. Mizuki has two outs, one in scoring position but up next is Eimi. As you can guess, Eimi isn't a competent batter and we have the sides switch.

Eimi is the pitcher for the Pretty Penguins and she really throws like a girl but I guess it's good enough. Taishi makes a play against leadoff hitter, Reiko's grounder, and it reminded me of Jeter's one-hop throw to 1st. Kazuki our 2nd batter hits a great ball into shallow outfield but THE MONSTER is their outfielder and makes a perfect play to get our boy out. Subaru is 3rd and hits a grounder past Bill Buckn... err... Chisa but THE MONSTER is there and gets the throw to first.

Short, fat guy is up 4th and gets struck out quickly. Taishi is the 5th batter for the Pretty Penguins and talks big and loud like he usually does and then gets called out on a strike three after he finished his speech. Aya makes a bunt and lazily runs (or maybe that's just her speed) which gets an easy out for a quick side switch.

We're in the skipping phase of the baseball game now since they obviously can't show an entire baseball game. Mizuki is back pitching and THE MONSTER is up to bat. Subaru with "guts!" hops the fence and leaps off it trying to catch MONSTER's HR ball but it wasn't to play out. Some hijinxs are shown and we're back to the "serious" game.

Eimi is tired and Aya volunteers to be the relief pitcher. Needless to say after some practice pitches... AYA THROWS UNDERHANDED WITH NO WIND UP, LEG LIFT, NO FOLLOW THROUGH, AND IT'S AN EASY HIT FOR BATTERS! GUESS WHAT, AYA?! That pitch rocks the world. It's so wierdly thrown and slowly coming at you that the ball literally curves around bats when it should be an easy hit and easily relieves most players. We're back with Mizuki and she's showing signs (big neon signs) of fatigue after walking Chisa. THE MONSTER is up to bat so Kazuki calls "time" to have a chat with the pitcher. Kazuki asks if maybe she should rest but Mizuki promised Coach and after a little "what the fuck?" at what was going on and to who Coach is which included a flashback, Mizuki is as good as new and decides to continue.

"Takase Tornado!," screams Mizuki and throws a very strongly thrown ball which THE MONSTER hits but the bat breaks and gets the strike out. Turns out it was the most dangerous technique she learned and whatnot. The game continues with Aya and she's still dominating. Panda has called in a special player (Ikumi who was just brought in by the ambulance and sickly) and tells them "To hit that wishy-washy ball, the batter must be wishy-washy as well!" THE MONSTER is shocked at Ikumi playing baseball and is moved to tears. Ikumi DOES hit the ball but it's going straight to THE MONSTER for the out but instead hits him in the face and says he can't catch that throw because it was hit by Ikumi. The game would have ended but no luck and Aya pulls out since she won't be able to continue drawing and writing doujinshis if she continued any longer.

Panda challenges Eimi to a final battle and Eimi takes the mound. There's a called strike, a foul ball, and the 3rd pitch is hit barely fair near third but THE MONSTER chases it down and is there to catch it but sees Ikumi running for home and can't throw the ball. He's in tears again but finally throws home but Ikumi is safe since THE MONSTER couldn't see and overthrows the catcher straight into the wall behind the batter's box. Panda is running for home but the catcher flips it to Eimi, Panda slides... AND SHE'S OUT! GAME OVER! THE GAME IS OVER!

The score? 4 all. That's right. A tie game.

Eimi and Panda scream for extra innings but everyone's left after they turn around to see them walking away and Minami the umpire even disappears after they turn back to her.

The credits roll and again... something I almost missed by not giving a damn about OPs and EDs since I don't care much for Japanese music. Eimi and Panda are sharing a table and they have the obligatory drawn line seperating their side. They're of course arguing with each other.

That was a pretty fun show to blog. Don't know why but I guess it was because of the actual baseball game. After watching the NY Jets losing and following the Knicks failure of the '04-'05 season, I wanted something better then only the Knicks. Baseball season is just around the corner for the Yankees (with Randy Johnson who I love) and the "new Mets."

ANIME: Naruto ep.120

It's a cute anime I've wanted to read (as in the manga) ever since I searched for Maburaho (different anime) and found a fansub group that said they were planning on scanlating it. They DID NOT but FUAN finally came along a year later (possibly a little shorter then a year) and it wasn't what I had expected. I'm not saying I wasn't happy to read it, though. Anyway... FUAN is gone and Furinkazan has picked it up and the manga is actually pretty good and so is the anime. It supposedly doesn't have much serious stuff going on but if you're looking for a comedy and maybe some romance added in, this is your kind of anime.

ANIME: Kujibiki Unbalance OVA ep.01

Purely a plug for Kujian of Genshiken fame. If you've been following the otaku-filled "goodness" of Genshiken then you should know what Kujian is, since they discuss this anime in the damn show.

You can expect to see a typical "geek" protagonist (good parts: caring, good cook), a girl in love (very much so) with mushrooms, a gambler who has connections with the Yakuza, a older sister/teacher who has a double personality, and a bunch of good (read: wierd) stuff.

I doubt I could write anything better then moyism did (just too lazy to) so go visit his site, life line by line.

Here's a translated scan of the Genshiken manga dealing with Kujian. THERE ARE SPOILERS THERE SO GO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Everything doesn't seem to follow the manga's version, though.

ANIME: Eyeshield21 Jump Festa 2004

A football anime! The only one that I know of... to those that have read the manga, this episode is for the Golden Bowl.

We start off with Sena running with his lightning speed and outrunning a few thug skaterboarders... then taking a dump at home. Seems like he needed to go badly... Cut back to the skaters and a man in a limo says those thugs are from his lovely alma mater, Uraharajuku High School, and the skaters were in the Uraharajuku Boarders (the school's football team). We find out shortly after he's the Governer of Tokyoto (Tokyo) and he's bitching about the Boarders not making the Kantou tournament and says it's too bad he can't let them play on. The Governer receives a call from Mutou (he said he was new and the Governer's never heard of him) from the HS American Football Department and it turns out he's in charge now. He calls with an oppurtunity for the Boarders to play in the Kantou tourney and the Governer's intrigued.

Pan off to Deimon HS' football club, the Devilbats, and Mamori explains there'll be a loser's comeback game due to Shizuoka having to drop out due to food poisoning (Shizuoka must have only the minimum amount of players...) Turns out the Devilbats were recruiting only a few days ago but can't play with the new guys since they aren't in the school, yet. That was probably a way to make us read the manga. They're to play in Shounen Field and wonder where that is until they're lead into the field which turns out to be a place for motorcycle gangs. In comes Hiruma with his fucking guns and shit... and tears the place up. The gangs scatter but the field's obviously messed up and Hiruma tells them he has a better place to play and tells them to scout (the opposing team) with him. The two puny ones are without Hiruma who's being scanned for guns and the pile gets pretty high but while he's away, the two puny ones are being picked on and intimidated by football players who smoke and drink.

The field is being set in the middle of Tokyo now. They're spraypainting the lines, FG post, and everything on ASPHALT! OH NOES! The Devilbats are a little scared of playing on it but the Boarders are used to it being skaters and the like. *insert football game where the Devilbats choke for the 1st half then owns in the 2nd half*

Game ends - 54 Deimon Devilbats, 14 Uraharajuku Boarders

The Governer's pissed off and makes a call to the HS American Football Department and curses Mutou off right off the bat but is told later that there is no Mutou and Shizuoka didn't have a case of food poisoning. The HS AFD tell the Governer that it was him who sent in the Golden Bowl idea and told him to take responsibility since a lot of people saw the game. The Devilbats are being apologized by the Governer who's on his knees and begging for forgiveness. Everyone is a little surprised at what happened except Hiruma who says all will be forgotten with the use of some facilities, mainly the Tokyo Tower. Watch to the end past the credits and the Governer's angry at whatever set up the conspiracy. We're back in Deimon's club room and Mamori gives Hiruma a stick of Mutou gum. *wink wink* Hiruma gets a call and speaks as Mutou...

Note:

Hiruma is fucking funny when he says the word "fucking" all the time
Japanese people playing football makes me laugh (the short bastards)
Hiruma carries a lot of fucking guns
I should read more of the manga...

ANIME: Ah! My Goddess TV ep.04

Sayoko vs. Belldandy! or not...

More like Sayoko tries to harass our little Goddess but fails miserably.

K1 starts the day off eating Belldandy's cooking and when he remembers he has class, he goes off before Belldandy stops him to see if she could come along. Sayoko is the Queen (the most popular, well-known person) in the Nekomi Institute of Technology until Belldandy strolls along with K1 and everyone runs to her instead. Belldandy has no idea what's going on and confused as to what was going on. Sayoko declares war and tries her best but nothing works. She goes after K1 in the end (remember the ultimate force) but K1 tells her, she has already rejected him and she's a little shocked at how he can just smile it off.

Notes:

The Dean is pretty free in giving or allowing Belldandy to enter into the school
Sayoko REALLY isn't that beautiful in the anime compared to Belldandy
Sayoko isn't that bad a person
Belldandy is a ninja
People get annoying when they diss K1 for having Belldandy

MANGA: Naruto ch246

It's been a week now and we're back with more Naruto goodness... or not.

Naruto and Sakura are to face Kakashi in the bell test like they did when they were Team 7 and Sasuke's name isn't a welcome name to hear. I'll talk about Sakura first. She's become very similar to Tsunade so far in terms of strength or what we find is the knowledge and skill of placing all or a lot of chakra in a certain area. Kakashi says she has potential to be better then Tsunade (since Sakura was initially great with Genjutsu) and we all knew it would turn out to be a Sakura -> Tsunade, Sasuke -> Orochimaru, Naruto -> Jiraiya-thing. I didn't really like most of the chapter since Naruto only shows his same old skills but a lot more honed. I was hoping for a HUGE improvement but we might see that later.

ANIME: Ah! My Goddess TV ep.03

We learn counting sheep doesn't work against a Goddess. K1's poor and decides he needs to make some money. Belldandy makes an incantation for some help and Hijiri, the girl K1 helped out before, pays for some food (that is, Hijiri's mom did.) K1 tries to hide the fact that Belldandy is a Goddess and she isn't too good with that. They ran away... K1 tries to find a place to live to no avail and chases after the money that flew away. They end up at the temple we all know too well and there's a Buddhist priest that knocks out K1 for what he believed was stealing from the offerings. Things happen and K1 and Belldandy are allowed to stay in the temple if they help out with the chores. Belldandy shows cleaning half the temple is nothing while K1's out of breath and tired. The priest is suspicious of Belldandy because he senses a presence from her. The priest stakes her out but falls asleep instead until he wakes up and finds Belldandy and Holy Bell fixing all the stuff that needs to be fixed or cleaned with her heavenly (singing) voice. (Belldandy and Holy Bell were actually turning back time to when the temple was new and clean) The priest laments he hasn't attained true enlightenment like Belldandy and bids farewell. He leaves the temple with K1 and there we have it!

Notes:

Temples are ALWAYS a good place to live in
Belldandy tricked the priest and didn't say she was actually a Goddess

ANIME: Ah! My Goddess TV ep.02

K1 makes the wish for a Goddess like Belldandy to always stay with him and God accepts the wish. I was pretty sure that played out differently in the manga... and so I checked (It's been awhile but the first few volumes are gawdawful ugly) and I was right. God in the manga says it's too late after a wish was made to change it back. I was also sure wishes like K1's aren't suppose to come through in their system (Yggdrasil) but Belldandy and K1 knew each other way before this (before having their memories erased of when they were little and played together as kids and were a cute couple) and Belldandy subconciously or remembered somehow and fixed something so she could stay. I don't know... it's fun thinking Belldandy is underhanded in some way given her saintly outer appearance. I don't remember everything that happened during the manga so I could have been proved wrong already.

This episode is pretty much K1 accepting the fact about Belldandy, them getting kicked out, them trying to find a place to sleep, and we ended the episode with them sleeping in a car.

Notes:

If K1 made the wish that they stay together forever, is there an afterlife where they can be together?
The "ultimate force" isn't very fun
Anticipation for Urd and Skuld is high

ANIME: Ah! My Goddess TV ep.01

At first, I had expected everything to go as quickly as the OVAs before it but after 3 episodes in... I was completely wrong. COM-PLETE-LY. For those following the manga like me, though, it isn't too bad or at least not to me. There's a bunch of filler and a very slow-paced plot. I don't see how this show won't get more then 26 episodes unless it wants to leave us hanging. I'm hoping it does well.

Two notes on the name K1 for Keiichi: 1) K1 is also a sport as in K1 racing and K1 is a fan of K1 and things with wheels in general and 2) K1 = K + Ichi (which is the "one" in Japanese).

Now that we have that out of the way K1 leads a pretty unlucky life though he's optimistic and a great person in general. K1 was just turned down a few days ago after he finally had the courage to ask someone out and now he's made to help his sempais (upper classmen) make some money. The kid runs off after hearing the initial price before they said it's actually half off. K1 catches them after taking a shortcut into the university and after catching up is robbed of all his money from the people he ran over or caused trouble for. To make things worse, when he gets home he's made to stay while his buddies go party. This gets him down at first but he brushes his shoulder (shrugs it off) and does the work he was asked to. Good guy, right? It's about time he got someone to fall for him... He remembers he needed to return some videos but needed to hurry because he had to make a call for someone but while rushing back home, plays the good samaritan and helps a little girl that had lost her mom's wallet. He makes the call and The Goddess Helpline makes a call to him and we get our first real glimpse of Belldandy and K1 in shock.

For those that have read the manga and don't care for the slower pace, skip to episode 3 when they finally move into the temple and we get a peak at Holy Bell.

ANIME: UG Ultimate Girl ep.03

We left off with Vivian rushing off into battle against monster of two weeks. Vivi is a little impatient and asks how long she has before she starts going naked and UFO man tells her she has 3 minutes, about the same time it takes for Cup Ramen. Haha... Turns out she has a shorter time since UFO man's power is lower after Tsubomi and Vivi uses a makeshift panty and bra from a big banner hanging off a building before she's completely naked. She seems weaker than before and UFO man tells her the Ultimate Girls need "M.O.E." to fight properly. M.O.E. is the power taken from embarrassment. The more the girls don't want people to stare or watch, the stronger they become so UFO man tells Vivi to strip. It also explained why Tsubomi couldn't fight with any power since Tsubomi is a cosplayer and used to people watching. While running from an attack from the monster, Vivi jumps and loses her makeshift cover and becomes powerful enough to destroy the monster. That is... what they thought until Makoto (who's working for the press club for school) gets closer for pictures and the monster comes back alive. Makoto's knocked out and is on the monster's genitals while UFO man tells the girls the core of a monster is at that exact same spot. This was why I said the anime had genital grabbing earlier. Silk decides to help Makoto and we're finally rid of the crappy transformation scene the other two girls had. Silk isn't completely cured of her embarrassment and runs for her life until the monster falls into the water and Silk jumps in to save Makoto. Silk CRUSHES the genitals and saves the day. ANIME: AIR TV ep.01

Ah... the favorite anime show of 2005, so far. Everyone and their mothers are blogging this so there's absolutely nothing to say (well there are A FEW things to say...) I have not played the game or read any spoilers on the game so all I have are stupid comments to make and pretty pictures to post. Lovely. Hover over the pictures, please.

I like this anime, so far. Not because I'm liking the story but I love the characters and it's a funny show. This show just made me download all of Kanon (Key is the creator of both) from Porygon2 in Ishin's IRC channel. Go get all 2.58GB you'd like. Only took about 4-5 hours. I can't wait to watch that one, too.

ANIME: UG Ultimate Girl ep.02

Silk's back to being a regular schoolgirl until another monster attacks shortly after. Silk tells them she's too embarassed to transform and go into battle again when UFO man tells her to fight. Tsubomi volunteers for the job and says that since all of them have some of UFO man's power, they all can transform. Insert "MOTHERFUCKING STAB ME NOW!" transformation scene (Copyright to Hostile / 2005) after Tsubomi gets completely naked for absolutely no reason but for those who're watching and we have giant Tsubomi in her UFO girl suit. Tsubomi is an uninhibited, outgoing girl who just so happens to be a cosplayer so embarassment is nothing to her and after announcing to the world she/they are Ultimate Girl(s), Tsubomi tries to fight this week's monster (note: I don't give a damn about the monsters.) Tsubomi gets her ass kicked and transforms back into a normal girl. UFO man's begging Silk to fight now. Vivian has a flashback of her mother (who has a funny voice) telling her a "nadeshiko" (a true Japanese beauty who's graceful and all that) shouldn't show skin in public. Silk's still saying no and Vivian decides it's for the best that she do it. The second "MOTHERFUCKING STAB ME NOW!" transformation scene comes into effect and we get Ultimate Girl Big Boob... or just Ultimate Girl Vivi. The fight between Vivian and episode 02's monster of the week turns out to be monster of two weeks. We continue next episode.

ANIME: UG Ultimate Girl ep.01

An anime about three cute girls, bad jokes, genital grabbing (well... as close to it as it can get without it actually being genitals), transformations-into-giant-superheroes, and a random monster of the week, in the three episodes I've watched. Definitely not something I'd recommend to anyone but it's short and a quick, fun watch.

We're introduced to KOHARUNO Silk (who I assume is the main heroine), OHTORI Vivienne (I'll probably call her Vivian), and MOROBOSHI Tsubomi. We start the show off with Makoto (Tsubomi's older brother) and the three greeting each other, a monster appearing, UFO man showing up, UFO man stepping on the three girls and killing them, UFO man bringing them back to life, UFO man losing his powers, and Silk transforming by grabbing UFO man's stick (see?! the bottom of chibi UFO man elongates), Silk losing her clothes, and Silk destroying the monster after much embarassment.

ANIME: Maria-sama ga Miteru -Spring- ep.01-13 (final)

Ah... my favorite lesbian/yuri/shoujo-ai/christian girl anime. It took awhile for this to come out in fansubs so I can barely remember what happened in the beginning of it. I did just watch ep11-ep13 around 3:30AM so I can remember those better.

Recap of episodes I've long forgotten!

ep01: Rosa Gigantea surprises Yumi after telling her she has a driver's license and they drive to Sachiko's house to play.

ep02: Rosa Foetida is said to be having adulterous affairs with older men and we find out later that they were mostly her brothers taking her out and the end is when she confesses her love for a teacher from a neighboring school (a man!) and she gets rejected. Don't worry they're starting as friends.

ep03: They have a going away party for the seniors since they're graduating with the lowest tier (Yumi, Shimako, and Yoshino) of the Rose Mansion doing the entertainment and we see Sachiko laughing.

ep04-05: The last few days with the seniors still in the school. Yumi says goodbye to Sei. Episode 5 has he graduation ceremony, goodbyes, flashbacks of the past, and Yumi taking good care of her onee-sama.

ep06: The past with Sei choosing Shimako as Rosa Gigantea en bouton. There was a battle between Sachiko and Sei for Shimako. Well... almost. I can't help but think Shimako would be better off with Sachiko and Sei would be with Yumi. Maybe I just wanted to see Sei playing around with Yumi a lot more.

ep07-09: The introduction of the new girls, Noriko and Touko. Touko (the drill girl!) is Sachiko's cousin so they're already aquainted with each other while Noriko's pretty much an outsider. Turns out Shimako and Noriko are buddhists going to a Christian girl's private school. Noriko and Shimako hit it off and Noriko's invited to the Rose Mansion a few times. After a lot of pushing from all her friends, Shimako in anger spills she's a buddhist and her and Noriko hug. Episode 9 is everyone pushing Shimako again and in the end Noriko becomes Rosa Gigantea en bouton. If you haven't noticed, Shimako has taken the Rosa Gigantea role after Sei left.

ep10: Yoshino and Rei have another one of their fights. Rei worries for Yoshino since she only recently had surgery. Yoshino's all well and good but Rei still worries. The reason being Yoshino joins the kendo club. They make up in the end. Happy times.

I was recently feeling the 2nd season of Marimite wasn't up to snuff with how I loved the first season but I guess it was the long periods of waiting for the next episode. It's even longer when I save up episodes to watch. I guess I didn't really take to the Noriko arc and Yoshino and Rei fighting again. I personally don't find anything special about Noriko, too. Ah, well.

On to the end...!

The "Yumi is jealous of Touko, I yearn for Onee-sama" arc!

ep11
We start of with Yumi cheerful as hell since she was promised a date with her onee-sama, Sachiko, but the upside-down frown turns rightside-up. She gets a call from Sachiko saying she can't make it and Yumi's thinking "that bitch! never paying me any mind! I'll kill her!" or something like that (I'm joking but Yumi was angry) but Yumi doesn't say anything and lets it slide. She says she understands and they hang up. They set it up for the next day but Sachiko cancels again. Yumi's of course very sad because her onee-sama is her life. Touko comes in the next day or so and gives Sachiko back her watch. OH NOES! Touko and Sachiko have been seeing each other behind Yumi's back!... is what we're supposed to be thinking. Yumi later corners Sachiko because she's insecure and begs Sachiko to promise her that they'll go out. She doesn't and leaves with Touko. Yumi walks home sad and decides to call her onee-sama to say sorry. No chance since Suguru (the "prince" we saw in the first season and is related to Sachiko) says he can't get Touko and Sachiko to come out. Yumi doesn't want anymore of it and stops coming to the Rose Mansion and when she's stopped by Yoshino, Yumi lets out some of her anger at Yoshino. She walks off and when she's about to leave Sachiko stops her. Something doesn't go right again since Touko is right behind them and saying they should walk home together. Yumi cries and runs out in the rain since she ain't having none of that shit and tosses her umbrella and bag after seeing Sei who then lets Yumi cry on her. Lucky! Well... no. Sachiko picked up Yumi's umbrella and bag and gave it to Sei while Yumi was crying on Sei's bosom and it came to Yumi that she wanted to apologize. I'm guessing since Sachiko dirtied herself to pick up Yumi's crap? Sachiko and Touko leave in a car and Yumi's on the floor crying. That all happened in one episode, by the way *gasp*

ep12
Sei asks someone we've never heard from if they can come with her since she resides nearby. We get to see Yumi taking a shower (nothing explicit) but that was a "YAY!" in my book. Turns out Sei doesn't even know the person she asked for help. Until Sei remembers her from a very trivial matter. Satou Sei had reacted to Katou Kei's name (the formerly unknown person) once in class. Ah, well. She returns home, cries a little, and we're off to another day. Yumi apologizes to Yoshino and they embrace each other. Yoshino thought she had lost Yumi as a friend for a second. Yumi has decided to stay her usual cheerful self and gets invited by classmates to eat with her to keep her head up. Touko comes in angry at Yumi for some reason and Yumi and Touko argue. Yumi decides to visit Katou Kei's residence and is invited by the lady who owns the residence since Katou Kei's out. Yumiko (we get a comment from Yumi saying that's a nice name - Yumiko is pretty much Yumi but "ko" is usually added to a female's name as a suffix) but they chat and Yumi spills her heart out. Yumiko remembers something from the past. We're back with Kei now and Yumi and her have a chat as well. Kei tells Yumi her mom died about 10 years ago and that she didn't like her stepmom at all in the beginning. Kei did later find out change can be good, though, and that Kei was allowed to live elsewhere. Kei's way of telling Yumi change isn't always bad since Yumi kept on thinking about how she didn't want things to change and wanted Sachiko all to herself. It finally gets into her head that it isn't that bad and smiles a little. She also gets her much loved umbrella back (this was one of the breaking points in ep11 but I forgot to mention that) in the end of the episode. There was talk about how the umbrella went on a little journey but it came back to her.

ep13
Yumi's finally back in the Rose Mansion and finds they're a little short on personel. Sachiko is absent for some reason or another. Rei and Yoshino have recently had a lot of club activities. Good news is Shimako's filled her role as a Rose very well since Yumi's been gone. Yumi has an idea to invite Touko to help out. Yumi's out in the garden now and face-to-face with Touko. About two dozen people are watching them when Touko asks Yumi what she wants. Yumi asks Touko to relax her fighting stance first. After a little explaining of the Yamayurikai's situation and about Touko being in the drama club, Yumi grabs Touko's hand and tells her she's an escort to the Rose Mansion, to which Touko says she's only helping Rosa Chinesis but was blushing a little. Touko walks off and this is the scene where I thought Yumi was a pimp (slang for cool, among other things.) I couldn't help thinking that after she acknowledged the people watching and thought to herself that all the rumors about Touko and her fighting over Sachiko have ended after that little scene. Yumi's filled her role pretty well, too. Touko's a little angry about Yumi being so cheerful and not doing anything for Sachiko while Yumi thinks she's doing her best while Sachiko's away. We see Yumiko walking around the Lilian school's property and Yumiko tells Yumi she's going to visit a friend. The friend she hasn't seen in a long time after a falling out. Lilian's petite souer system is really full of ups and downs. Betrayal and love. Almost like a marriage. Minako even had a friend who's onee-sama betrayed her but she remained ignorant/stubborn until she exploded three years later and tossed the rosary in her onee-sama's face at her graduation. Touko tells her while they're walking out that she should be careful of Suguru's driving and halfway through the episode Suguru's there and waiting. Yumi's called into the school and meets the former Rosa Chinesis back in the school. She was waiting for Yumi. Youko escorts her to Suguru's car where she explains Sachiko's in a depression ever since her grandmother was in the hospital and today was the funeral. Yumi's extremely sad that she couldn't do anything and Youko assures her it was probably Sachiko's fault =p Sachiko's in shock that Yumi's there and they embrace each other. Sachiko apologizes and Yumi does as well. We find out Sachiko's grandmother was Yumiko's friend and they made amends. That's the end of Marimite -Haru-.

Some things that I have to bitch about and say...

Why couldn't the denpa girl haved play a role in this season?! I was waiting for her since the beginning of Marimite -Spring- but she never showed up. Actually they say she did show up in one picture but the only quality being she was in the background and it was a tall character. The Denpa girl is supposed to be a pretty tall girl.

If you want a peak at the Denpa girl, she's in this Marimite relationship chart (there's major relationship spoilers.) The other one is all good.

The next thing I wanted to say is... I HOPE THERE'S A 3RD SEASON! I want to see the denpa girl! DENPA GIRL!!! (What the hell is her name?) It seems she and Touko fight to be Yumi's petite souer and of course I'll be cheering for denpa girl without knowing anything about her >_> A 3rd season would seem like more of a comedy then usual...

ANIME: Mahou Sensei Negima! ep.03

Asuna has dreams of Takamichi-sensei confessing his love, Negi pisses off Asuna again and decides to make a love potion, Asuna shoves said potion down Negi's throat, and hilarity ensues when his class falls for him. Nodoka makes a lot more appearances. Shizuna and the headmaster finally show up, too.

Things I've noticed while watching the anime:

Nodoka has a bigger fear of males in the anime until Negi comes along
They skipped the part where Konoka makes breakfast for Negi
The seiyuu (voice actor) that did Negi needed a English coach or at least tried harder to speak in English (Negi's original language IS English)
The 4-leaf clover love potion as opposed to Negi finding he had a set of Love Potion herbs/balls in his pack was done better in the anime
The anime wanted to get in more of Negi using magic and the other characters using their skills. Makie used her gymnastic skills and Negi showed his main element by using wind to make himself quicker.

From watching the fansubs and reading the manga, Negi-bouzu can mean either an informal way of saying Negi's a kid and the other being Onionhead?

Update (1:17PM): The Kyou/Tohru coupling sucks! Turns out that is what's happened in the manga and Yuki pussied out. The pairing is supposedly confirmed by Takaya Natsuki, the manga-ka, herself. At least I feel a little happy for the other pairings, though.

Update (12:51PM): Naruto ch245 - Naruto's back in Konoha village and happy he's back. There's a Tsunade sculpted into the mountain where the Hokage's of the past and present lie. There's panels with Naruto, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Tsunade, Sakura, and Konohomaru. Seems Naruto isn't thrilled with Konohomaru after he said he had created a perverted jutsu... because Naruto has something that completely blows it out of the water. Kakashi tells them they're equals now (as in not being teacher to students but as colleagues) and wants to test them with the bell test we've seen in the first volume or so.

I really liked. It was like reading Naruto all over again and it got me laughing. The next chapter, hopefully, we get to see Naruto completely show up Sakura =p

Sakura also got a lot cuter ^_^

Naruto v28ch245

If you've been following the manga, you've probably been anticipating this, too. My love for this manga has dropped off a lot since I first started it three years ago. Naruto really got too annoying as a character even with his flashes of brilliance and Sasuke I wanted dead. I didn't really care for Sakura either. All might be saved beginning from this chapter, though.

A TIME JUMP! (of 2½ years or so)

I'm hoping this solves at least some problems that I disliked about it.

Great Teacher Onizuka

I'm more of a HKDVD (aka bootleg) consumer when buy DVDs. I haven' bought any recently but that's what I'd rather choose to buy. If you know which HKDVD company you're buying from you can often find R1 rips. DVDs that were copied from the US releases. They're usually in pretty good quality, too, and since I don't mind screwing others... it's all good for me. It hasn't happened often since I've been finding most of my stuff for downloading recently anyway. Even if I usually opt out for HKDVDs, though, there was a sale at Deep Discount DVD recently that was really an offer I couldn't pass up. $24 for the GTO boxset 1 of 2. Free shipping, too! There's 23 episodes on 5 DVDs. That's about $1.04 for each episode (and it comes with a free shirt - XL) and I really couldn't pass it up. I've already watched all of GTO but damn it's fun watching again. It also fills in the blank since I'm missing v01-v05 of the GTO manga...

Ah... Eden. I didn't give it much of a try when I first downloaded about one or two volumes of it. I'll tell you right now I'm not particularly a big fan of anything that can be considered "dark" and I prefer my stuff to keep a smile on my face. There are of course a few exceptions, of course. Berserk, I've taken a liking to GANTZ, etc.

I didn't expect it to keep me interested and after reading MP's preview of it - "Eden takes place after a significant portion of the world's population has fallen to a virus that causes the victims' skin to turn hard, immobilizing and killing them by reducing them to empty shells. The survivors, be they patchwork cyborgs who have replaced their affected anatomy or children who are somehow immune, persevere by skirting, or courting, the resultant social and political anarchy." - I quickly dumped what I had downloaded in the good ol' Recycle Bin.

Well, I did download it again. All I can say is I read everything that was out (8 volumes scanlated) in two days and that's because I almost always stop myself from continuing if I'm afraid of a cliffhanger. It's actually been 10 months since I did that (the manga is released very slowly if you haven't noticed) but I had to plug it since I really do love this series. I'm still wishing for that happy ending, though.

Anyway... chapter 01 starts as a prologue. It's a pretty long prologue (115 pages or so.) The two main characters in the prologue (Enoa and Hana) are the parents of the main character, Eliah Ballard, in Eden. The young man's a sensible fellow and knows right from wrong. Good kid. There's plenty of other stories told here, as well. I'd prefer if they stuck with Eli... Enoa has made himself very powerful and of course this doesn't look good for his family in this world. People are after him and anything that belongs to him. Eli's out in the world now and just thinking about life with what was probably handed down to him from his father, the robot Cherubim. We watch him exploring and thinking about stuff until he's caught by mercenaries and is held hostage. That's pretty much all of volume one. Well it gets pretty fun after this. Eliah learns more about life while he's held captive, there's fun times with a prostitute he saved, we learn a little about his past, he becomes more of a man, etc. I really should get to re-reading it and/or reading the stuff that was released after I stopped...

ANIME: Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki OVA3 ep.18

Heh. I said I'd never do a raw (episode(s) without subtitles) but I really love the Tenchi universe so... meh. I'm still waiting for a fansub of this but until then I'll make due with what I got. If you've seen Tenchi GXP before this... you've already been spoiled for some stuff like me =p

RECAP OF THE LAST EPISODE:
Misao's jealous and worried about Tenchi and his sister, Mihoshi. Seems he has a sister complex and thinks Tenchi is some kind of man whore. Misao's plotting to invade Earth while we find out Seto-sama (Jurai no oni-hime, or The Demon Princess of Jurai - if you will) has visited the Misaki household. Reminder: Seto is Noike's adopted mother and the grandmother of Ayeka and Sasami. Turns out Seto knew about everything that was going on from Yosho's disappearance, to Tenchi, to etc. Seto faints from sleep deprivation in the middle of a conversation. They find out she'll be fine so Sasami and the rest decide to cook her a meal when she's resting. Seto wakes up before dinner and has a "snack" in Washu's quarters. They finish the meal and are about to leave until they're transported elsewhere. Seems the Galaxy Police elites with Misao are trying to get Mihoshi back and separated all of them. Sasami, Ayeka, Washu and Ryoko each have a fight and the end of the episode comes...

QUICK IMPRESSION (without reading a spoiler thread):
Misao's Galaxy Police elites aren't worth shit (except for Mashisu because she's cool) and got their ass handed to them. They're trapped in this green slime and talking about something. One of them is definitely having flashbacks of getting whooped and I guess it's thanks to Ryouko. Skip a little and it turns out Mashisu is in love with Misao, which was the reason she agreed to help and we end up seeing Misao and Mashisu getting together (Tenchi GXP spoiled that already). The end of the episode WASN'T so fun...

INDEPTH SUMMARY (after reading spoiler thread):
Made me want to watch this episode over again after reading it. The four GP elites each lose their battle. Ayeka had the help of Ryo-Ohki which took care of one, Ryouko was so pissed from the last episode the guy she fought has whiplash (well flashbacks) and he's on the floor crying for her to stop, Washu is so strong she beats a huge, muscle man with a toy hammer (I think Washu put some kind of gravity in the room and knocked him out that way), and Sasami... wow... Sasami rocks. She beats Mashisu without a drop of sweat and we find out Sasami's Juraian speed is off the charts (if you've seen GXP, you know GXP officers are pretty damn quick themselves) and her hair decorations for her pigtails can transform into a staff which she subsequently used as a weapon. Ryouko on Ryo-Ohki (this Ryo-Ohki is the actual ship from the lake near the house and we see the "human-form" Ryo-Ohki with Tenchi and the rest) is attacking Chobimaru - big sphere shaped ship owned by Misao. Pan off to the GXP officers. They've been transported onto... TSUNAMI! If you don't remember, being on the NUMBER ONE JURAIAN TREE/SHIP (2nd class is highly classified as it is, think of how bad it is to be on *THE* ship) is not a good sign if you want to live. The officers are afraid for their lives now but they're assured they won't be executed which doesn't ease their fears and are even afraid to swallow and eat the food and drinks in front of them. They do so after a little coaxing and a taste of the drinks. They end up having a great time. We're brought back to Ryouko and her absolutely KILLING Chobimaru. Mashisu wants them to stop Ryouko but they say not much can be done so Mashisu teleports to Chobimaru. Misao's angry at Mashisu, I *think* Mashisu tells Misao he'll help her with his sister, Mashisu asks who Misao likes more soon after, Misao says he likes them both but he doesn't know what to do, Ryouko attacks near them and Mashisu protects Misao and has her blood on the floor after being hit in the head. A flashback or two of Mashisu/Misao and Mashisu telling him it was love at first sight. Misao tells her his feelings for her sister is because she's family and said something about wanting to protect Mashisu, too. Washu is heard speaking over them and he's talking to Misao about something and we see Misao and Mashisu were being tricked and were on Tsunami the whole time. Mashisu runs away and the girls yell at Misao to chase her. He does. Ryouko's still out there having her way with Chobimaru and now comes the ED... I almost missed it but there's more at the end of ep18. It's the start of another "normal" day in the Tenchi household and while Tenchi's out washing the carrots in the pond we see Washu and Noike talking to each other.

Something from the spoiler topic:

"Incidentally, in the final conversation between Washu and Noike, Noike wonders if Washu wants something after getting that look, Washu asks her what to call "her" (not gender specific, "What's your name?" , Noike doesn't understand, Washu says that she's asking the name of the one looking through Noike's eyes, Noike still doesn't follow, and then the eyes go blank and bad things happen."

Z is probably Noike's brother and Washu was speaking to Z. Or that's what I'm going with, too. Noike's out of it whenever her eyes turn dark like that and this warns Washu about something coming at them. Washu tells Tenchi to get away. The episode ends on possibly a very sad note when something flies down from the sky and is going straight for Tenchi. Tenchi is saved by the Light-Hawk wings but he's out in space now and looking down, he see's half of Earth destroyed.

ANIME: Mahou Sensei Negima! ep.02

More changes from the manga but well... who cares? I forgot to mention this before but I guess Mahou Sensei Negima! takes after Harry Potter a little... or that's how I felt. That's solely on Negi, though. Every single one of his students has some sort of great talent in one way or another. It's still early but you'll see later.

Just wanted to get the word out on this since it's a good manga and I enjoyed it. It's been scanlated by TJo in it's entirety and it's a very fun read and can get serious when it needs to.

Yuki (commonly a girl's name but Yuki's a male) and Shigeru (commonly a boy's name but Shigeru's a female) are more or less sex friends (friends with benefits.) They met each other at a concert for their favorite rock group, Conflict (they're actually a big fan of the lead singer, Rui), and teamed up after and chased Conflict's van down. They all became good friends soon after because the whole group, especially Rui, thought they were both very funny. One day, Yuki and Shigeru, find Rui having sex with Nina (his girlfriend). They're staring at the two having sex in awe. Shigeru asks if he's ever... and he asks if she's ever... well... Yuki and Shigeru have their first time together soon after that little discussion before even knowing the others name. This doesn't bode well for them since Yuki and Shigeru both don't have much common sense, smarts and/or they're both a little crazy. Actually, it's definitely all three. They're in the same High School so they meet and hang out with each other a lot. Including sex. Shigeru's late with her period and doesn't know what a condom is when her friends talk about it... Guess what? She's pregnant. Yuki doesn't know. She's also just found out she loves Yuki. What is she going to do now?!

ANIME: Mahou Sensei Negima! ep.01

Ah... another Ken Akamatsu production. You probably know him from Love Hina because I sure as hell do. I've been following this for awhile now. Ever since Akatsuki-Manga (a scanlation group) first released a few chapters and then since Meow took it up after it was licensed. I'm also buying the US released manga and that's not something that happens a lot if you compare to how much scanlations I download. I've read about 1,200-1,400 volumes of manga and I own only about 20-30 actual books >_>

Let's get to the anime. There are a few changes (hair colors, the beginning, the cutting of some scenes and the addition of some) and the art's not as great as the manga but I still enjoyed watching it and I'll continue to. Short story even shorter, Negi Springfield, or 10 year old prodigy, is to become a teacher in Japan, if he wants to become a Magister Magi. A Magister Magi is someone that's recognized as a great wizard and Negi will do anything to become one, just like his father. Negi on his way to the school he'll be teaching at meets his "guardians" but they don't hit it off very well. We go through some stuff and we find out he's the homeroom teacher of a first year class and that he's a English professor (told you he was a prodigy, he's learned Japanese in a few weeks.) Anyway... it ends with him saving a student (Nodoka -- who we'll see a lot of, too) and Asuna (his soon to be "guardian") catching him.

It really doesn't get great until a little later when you get to see the fights. I think it's extremely well done and then there's plenty of girls/hobbies to make you at least like ONE girl.

Here's a scan of Negi's class. He's the teacher of a JHS, 1st year class. If you didn't know Japan has Elementary grades 1-6, JHS 7-9, and HS 10-12.

ANIME: Rozen Maiden ep.09-12 (final)

Rozen Maiden ep.09

Suisei Seki goes off to Sousei Seki's master's home. Jun and the rest come and help her and they find a comatose old lady. After some talking they go into the old man's dream world (I think it's his.) It's full of clocks and stuff and they find Sousei Seki and help him up. Suigin Tou shows up and Shinku and Hina Ichigo stay back to fight her while Jun, Suisei, and Sousei run away. Jun, Suisei and Sousei make their way into the old lady's dream world and find Kazuki (the deceased son) there. He's been keeping his mom from waking up and after a little chat about how his old man is sad and has no one left, Kazuki decides to stop keeping his mom to himself. Everyone later shows up in the old man's house after some fights with Suigin Tou and the episode ends with Suisei Seki and Sousei Seki staying at the old man's house minus the crazy/delusional stuff.

Rozen Maiden ep.10

I guess you can say this is my 2nd favorite episode. Shinku is in her dream world (which looks great) and is visited by Suigin Tou who challenges her to a one-on-one. Shinku agrees and we pan off to... Suisei Seki comes back because she's had an argument with Sousei Seki and Sousei Seki comes soon after and says this time, it was Suisei Seki's fault. Blah blah blah... Nori needs help with a neighborhood play she signed up for so she gets them all to help. The play in question is Snow White. Suisei Seki plays a very convincing witch, Shinku plays Snow White, Jun's the prince, Nori's the narrator (she says she wants to get the timing down) and the rest are dwarves. Jun gets embarrassed after they make fun of him for avoiding kissing Shinku but they all say he really wanted to kiss her. They're done with rehearsing and now the dolls are cleaning their clothes. Shinku goes up to chat with Jun and we can guess by now that Jun is a sewing genius. Night comes and Shinku leaves for the battle.

Rozen Maiden ep.11

Shinku's in a duel with Suigin Tou and they're in Suigin Tou's world now. Shinku's not too strong without the help of her medium and it gives time for Suigin Tou to trap Shinku, visit Jun via his computer screen (the bastard has a flat screen monitor) and trap him in his own dream world. Jun is haunted by failing a test that would have gotten him into an elite private school. He's made to go to to his zoned school and he was teased for sewing as a hobby. The classmates also make fun of his sister who he loves dearly but he couldn't protect her and thus we find the reason he became a hikikomori. He's crying to himself about how he's worthless and couldn't do anything until Nori smacks him hard then starts explaining she couldn't get Jun to open up to her and that she was worthless, too. Everyone's worthless at some point. Hina Ichigo, Suisei Seki and Sousei Seki come to rescue Shinku and hold off Suigin Tou a little before. Then everyone but Shinku has been knocked out of the fight and now it's a one-on-one again. Shinku's arm gets ripped off and she cries. The Alice Game is made to decide who becomes Alice, a very pure being. I'm guessing it's like Pinnochio and how they want to be real beings. If you saw the screencaps of ep10, the joints don't look too great... Jun runs away with Shinku when the others come back again...

Rozen Maiden ep.12 (final)

Jun runs off to a house he made when he was in elementary school and has a talk with Shinku. Shinku's in disbelief she can't be Alice anymore so Jun runs off to get her arm. Jun runs into Suigin Tou and has to get over his memories of being ridiculed and succeeds. Shinku's near and the ring fixes her arm and it's perfectly working again. Now Jun and Shinku fight Suigin Tou, who's no match for the two. Suigin Tou loses and dies. We see that Suigin Tou was scrapped as a doll (she was missing the middle part of her body) and the thing that kept her alive was that she could have a chance to meet Father. The story's pretty sad. She's gone now and we see Shinku telling Jun to not forget her. Shinku disappears and Jun returns to a normal life, though, he still has a little hikikomori in him.... until he comes home the same day after taking a little walk and finds all of them in his room. Turns out they really didn't go away. The end.

I didn't really care for the part where Jun was screaming he'd protect Shinku but the fights were fun to watch. I liked watching this. There might be a second season since the Alice Game hasn't ended and there are still more dolls that haven't been introduce.

ANIME: Rozen Maiden ep.05-08

Rozen Maiden ep.05

My favorite episode! Why? It was funny and cute as hell. This episode made me really like the show. It was full of chibi/super-deformed art.

The day starts of with the gang watching Kun-kun (the detective show everyone in the show likes) and Nori baking cakes (a strawberry cake.) She puts down 2 pieces of cake on the dinner table for Hina Ichigo and Suisei Seki. Kun-kun screams something and Hina Ichigo turns around then after watching a little turns to the table and finds her strawberry missing. She screams very loudly. Suisei Seki starts crying, saying Hina Ichigo tried to take her strawberry, too. Nori tells Hina Ichigo to not do that and Hina feels betrayed. She pouts and stomps up to Jun's room. Nori is angry because she wanted a big, happy family and threatened she won't make hana-topped (flower-topped - she uses an egg), hamburgers. This scares Shinku and Suisei Seki so while Nori's out they pull out capturing devices to bring Hina Ichigo back down. Jun yells at them and then goes up himself to get Hina to come down. Hina Ichigo is still angry and won't listen to Jun and starts chucking toys at him. He contemplates a little more before coming to the conclusion that Suisei Seki is more then capable of stealing Hina's ichigo (heh) and they team up. Pan off to Suisei Seki complaining about the chibi-ningen (short human) near the stairs with Shinku complaining about them being childish until Suisei Seki looks up to find a blockade on the stairs. Suisei Seki and Hina Ichigo/Jun end up fighting for the stairs. Attacks include writing on Suisei Seki's luggage case, chucking crayons, and the first battle ends with a hilarious scene. Jun has tossed down a toy crocodile, runs down and says something along the lines of "this is a truth crocodile - put your hand in it's mouth and if you're telling the truth it won't bite you" then runs back up the stairs. Suisei Seki sucks up to Shinku with tears and all but Shinku says it's a good idea and holds the croc up for Suisei Seki. Suisei Seki runs up the stairs laughing like maniac crying about how no one believes her with Shinku coming up the stairs, too. Suisei Seki is trapped between the barricade now and Shinku and while she tries to talk to Shinku, Jun lets out a "RAWR!" and scares Suisei Seki, whose hand ends up in the croc's mouth and it chomped down. She's screamin' for her life then is told off by Jun about how unlady-like it was. She's laughing again while climbing down the stairs. Suisei Seki has a new battle plan. Make them come down for food. Suisei Seki has probably cleared every food item in the fridge, cabinets, etc. and starts eating it below the stairs in front of them. Hina Ichigo is easily tricked by food so she wants to go down but Jun stops them. Shinku mentions this being a tasty plan and chomps down on snacks. Jun brings out two pieces of styrofoam and starts making schreeching noises to annoy Suisei Seki while Suiseki Seki pulls out the pan and ladle. Hina faints due to not having anything to eat and Jun devises a new plan. He puts Kun-kun on a fishing rod and starts getting Shinku involved. Shinku is a BIG fan of Kun-kun and is easily tricked by Jun's voice acting and Kun-kun doll. Shinku turns her back on Suisei Seki right there while Kun-kun is begging for help. Hina jumps down to save Kun-kun and they all end up on the floor on the bottom floor of the stairs. Nori comes back home to find a mess and screams the roof off the house. It ends with them eating hana-topped hamburgers and alls well that ends well.

Wow... I summarized more then I should.

Rozen Maiden ep.06

The show starts off with an episode of Kun-kun just ending. It was an especially "scary" one so Shinku and Suisei Seki are a little frightened. It's cute. Suisei Seki is hanging around Hina Ichigo because she's frightened and they end up hearing a noise. They check the closet upstairs and it's that damn mirror again. Suigin Tou pops out and grabs Hina Ichigo. Shinku goes in and we end up in Suigin Tou's dream field. It's dark like Jun's. Probably a little moreso. There's ripped up dolls scattered everywhere and it's a dark, cold place. Shinku struggles a little against Suigin Tou even with the help of some old friends (the dolls that protected/tried to kill Jun) until Shinku's medium (Jun) suddenly gave her a boost. Jun and the gang leave Suigin Tou's field and they've brought along the other dolls. The doll that tried to claim Jun's life in the first episode is ripped apart and we learn that "dead" dolls become soulless and are in an eternal sleep, dreaming of the past. It's a sad, sad fate. Jun doesn't really understand (is my guess since he still...) and comes back with a sewing kit and fixes the doll up. The soul has come back and Shinku tells Jun he has magical fingers. The episode ends with Shinku looking dead on the floor.

Rozen Maiden ep.07

Shinku's fallen and she's down for the count. Jun tries to wake her up to no avail. and feels bad about it so he gets angry. That's what they call passive-aggressive, right? Jun finally goes out after reading up on the Rozen Maiden thanks to the internet (rock on!) but needs to go out to do more research. He suits up hikikimori-style and goes off to the library. Jun gets screwed over when he's told the book he's looking for is at his school's library. Off to school he goes, sneaky like a ninja, but gets caught by Tomoe who helps him out. He finds the answer and goes back home to OPEN SHINKU'S CASE and out pops Holie (Shinku's protector/weapon or something) and goes into Shinku's hole (the one that was needed for the key/knob/thingy) and she's fixed. Jun must feel pretty dumb. Suisei Seki knew how to get her back but wanted to play with Jun, I guess.

Rozen Maiden ep.08

Another Rozen Maiden shows up. It turns out to be Sousei Seki, Suisei Seki's twin sister. Sousei has a more boyish-look and the eye color is switch compared to Suisei. I'd assume Sousei had long hair like Suisei but got it cut short for the old man that takes care of Sousei. It turns out the old man has lost his son earlier and his wife is in a coma in the house a little after they lost their son. Sousei takes the son's place and the old man is too fucked up in the mind to tell the difference. I also assume Suisei Seki left the house because she wasn't given any attention and it was sad place to be in knowing Sousei was acting as their son. The old man turns out to be Sousei's master and I don't know what's with Suisei since Sousei and Suisei had a chat about Jun being her master and Suisei is embarassed about it. They're in a dream world now and Suisei tries to get Sousei to come to Jun's place but Sousei declines so Suisei tries to forcibly bring Sousei. He still says no and Suisei leaves crying. During the time Sousei was gone, Suigin Tou tells the old man he won't be able to keep Sousei (the old man says Kazuki - the son's name) for long unless... anyway. Sousei and Suisei had a fight with Suisei winning but she let's Sousei go and he returns home. Suisei has a sixth sense about something happening to her sister at the end of the episode.

Rozen Maiden ep.01

Jun's a hikikomori (one of my new favorite Japanese words - click here to learn more) who's addicted on buying antiques and/or just plain weird stuff online. A little on his older sister... she's ditzy/clumsy and a lacrosse player who loves her brother but can't get him to open up. Anyway... he ends up getting a letter of some sort that makes him put it in his drawer. A luggage case is sent to him and he opens it to find a very well made doll. The pervert actually checked to see under the dress... The doll is awoken after Jun twists the knob/key and tells him her name is Shinku, a Rozen Maiden. They show her beating on him until the window breaks and another doll is found. This doll (not of the Rozen Maiden) was made to go after Jun's life and Jun's made to choose between living by kissing Shinku's Rosa Mystica or dying because he won't. Of course, he kisses the ring (Rosa Mystica is a ring) and Shinku saves him. Jun is now Shinku's servant (or she says he is) and at the end of the episode, Nori, Jun's sister founds out about Shinku.

Rozen Maiden ep.02

Tomoe is playing with Hina Ichigo (another Rozen Maiden) and Hina Ichigo pouts because Tomoe has to go to school. Tomoe promises Hina Ichigo she'll be back soon to play. Pan off to Nori squealing because Shinku eating a little doughnut ball is cute. Afternoon comes and we find out Tomoe knows Jun. They're classmates and she came over to give him notes. She's invited in and stays for a few minutes before deciding to leave. Tomoe gets home and finds an angry Hina Ichigo and starts going off about how her old master left her while being told by Tomoe that she would never do that. Hina Ichigo goes off into her dream (or her dream world/field) and makes Tomoe come along. Shinku goes off into Hina Ichigo's world to get her to give up her Rosa Mystica (which would usually result in a doll becoming soulless) but Shinku manages to get Hina Ichigo to give up after Shinku points out Tomoe is in great pain because of Hina. Turns out Hina is allowed to live by feeding off Shinku's power and Hina comes to Jun's house instead. Hina's sad...

Rozen Maiden ep.03

Hina Ichigo wants to play with Shinku but she ain't having it. Jun's just pissed he has more annoying people in his room. Hina Ichigo is feeling a little homesick because she can't get any "unyu." Jun feels bad and overcomes his fear for at least the day and goes out to buy the food item she wants. Meanwhile, Hina Ichigo knew what the toilet was and makes fun of Shinku because she didn't know it until after Jun told her. There's trouble when another Rozen Maiden shows up. The new sister, Suigin Tou, is a evil bitch and she must be vanquished! Shinku and Suigin Tou have a minor fight and then Suigin Tou decides to leave. Jun's been 1-2 stores now and they're sold out so there's only one store left. The one near his school and the one he's been avoiding. He enters the one near the school to find Tomoe and the dessert Hina Ichigo wanted. Tomoe and Jun talk and Tomoe says she didn't feel right with Hina Ichigo going off to Jun's place but she feels better about it now that she knows Jun went off and knew what she wanted. Jun comes back home, Nori comes back soon after and is shocked he went out, then Hina Ichigo finds the "unyu." Hina Ichigo's soften up to Jun now ^^;

Rozen Maiden ep.04

Jun's window gets vandalized again. Here comes Suisei Seki (another Maiden) and her human-hating psyche. We all know she really doesn't but meh. I forgot what happened but they end up visiting Jun's dream world and it's a dark, sad place. His tree isn't looking too well, either. They leave after doing something and that's the end of ep04. The next episode is my favorite of the entire show so expect more pictures... maybe.

Forgot to mention this but the dolls seem to be awake because a game is going on right now. An Alice Game, that is. They're suppose to fight/destroy each other's Rosa Mysticas.

SPORTS: I called it!

A week after I went 0-4 in calling games (Jets, Rams, Vikings, and Colts lost), I'm on my way to a 2-0 this week. My back hurts like a motherfucker after shoveling snow and I came home cold as hell because I didn't want to go back in to get my bigger headphones that could have acted as earmuffs but meh.

Vick can't throw at all and I don't see him doing it well anytime soon. Eagles owned them.

New England Patriots 41, Pittsburg Steelers 27

Wow... just wow... No matter how bad it gets for the Patriots they seem to win anyway. I keep reading their secondary isn't up to snuff because 1-2 CBs are injured but the backups do their shit.

The Super Bowl's looking to be a great game with a Patriots win (again.) Eagles will have to step it up a lot more then when they faced ATL. I'm calling Patriots.

ANIME: Grenadier ep.10-12 (final)

Grenadier ep.10

The gang makes their way to the Heavenly Capital and run into trouble from one of the Ten Senshi Sages. Rushuna's off fighting underwater while Ya-chan remembers his lost comrades. When they get into the capital, Ya-chan recommends a bath for Rushuna and Mikan after having a man to man talk with Teppa-kun. Rushuna is oblivious to the fact that Ya-chan has run away to meet the Empress but Mikan's a smart little girl. She follows (or tries to follow) him. Ya-chan meets an old comrade who turns out to be an ally of the Mountain Templar so Ya-chan strips her Kasumi-nee and runs off. Rushuna suddenly remembers about Ya-chan, Teppa-kun sighs about losing a chance to bang Rushuna, and they run off to the capital. Rushuna is greeted with that last screencap...

Grenadier ep.11

Rushuna is resting at the palace while Ya-chan meets up with the imprisoned Empress. He's a little shy now since Rushuna got to him... Old Ya-chan might have just chopped her up >_> Anyway... he helps her escape while Rushuna meets up with the fake Empress who turns out to be the double (just as Rushuna was) of the real Empress and she gets angry at how she couldn't trick Rushuna. Touka comes on a missile and decides to help Rushuna before actually finding out the fake was Setsuna.

Grenadier ep.12 (final)

Rushuna chases Setsuna and tries to get her to understand the Empress' ideal. Pan off to the Mountain Templar and Ya-chan fighting. Ya-chan is much more skilled with the sword compared to the Mountain Templar now but Ya-chan almost gave his life to trying to get the Mountain Templar to understand. Pan off to Rushuna and Setsuna fighting. Since they were the Empress' doubles, they were trained in the same skills so it looked like they were twins fighting except I give a slight edge to Rushuna. Maybe more then a slight one if she didn't mind blowing off Setsuna's head off... Rushuna literally strips Setsuna of her armor and all is good in the end... The Medicine Bath from an early episode heals both Ya-chan and Rushuna. Mikan/Ya-chan/Rushuna go off on another journey as does Setsuna.

I think there's going to be a 2nd season so here's to hoping Ya-chan gets some...

Heh. It's still snowing here and I was just thinking I wanted to post about how nice it'd be to see a snowy football game. Steelers/Patriots is going to be a fun game and possibly the Philly game if both stadiums get snow.

iPod

I've had my iPod (4th generation, 20GB) since the end of December now... wow. There should be absolutely NO ONE that needs to use 20GBs of space. I have so much space that I wished I bought a iPod mini instead. I've recently started putting manga volumes on the iPod to save space on my 2nd HD (which is the 40GB drive that holds 90% of my manga) just because there's an overkill on HD space. I'm currently around 375-400 songs and counting, though...

Let's talk about the Knicks!

Lenny Wilkins! You're fired! Well, actually, he resigned. No way did I think he'd actually leave so quickly even if I was wishing for it, though. Herb Williams (he's undeafeated as head coach!) takes over and I wish he gets the Knicks to play better.

Anime talk - Futakoi (Spring) & Yakitate!! Japan

Here's a Yakitate!! Japan character poll (thanks to Memento.) Only 2 girls are in the top 10 >_< but I can deal since Tsukino is #2. Always so cute... All this about YakiJapan almost made me want to read past v10 or v11... I save chapters/volumes up before reading sometimes >_>

Thanks to Matthew for the scans... I haven't even finish Futakoi (Fall), yet, but I'm definitely waiting for this. The character designs look a lot better and the male lead (or who I assume to be the male lead) looks a lot cooler then Nozomu.

I'll have Grenadier finished soon and I might take some caps of anime I've seen already and blog it. Mahou Sensei Negima will probably come after Grenadier.

ANIME: Grenadier ep.01-09

Here are some bscaps (it really does suck using BSPlayer to take screencaps when your primary media player is WMP) of episodes before ep.10. I'll get to ep.10-13 soon. Short summary of ep.01-09. The Empress has asked Rushuna to spread her ideal of peace. The Empress tells her to smile to get rid of a warrior's armor (can mean both mentally and physically) and in the beginning Rushuna isn't 100% on this but yeah. She evolves. She meets Yajirou (who's my favorite male character in the show) a swordsmen who hates the Empress and they become friends. Rushuna later meets with Touka (my favorite female character in the show) and Mikan (a balloon master!!) and they all become friends. Touka has an illness so she's made a pleasure district (I HATE HOW THIS SHOW DEGRADES WOMEN LIKE THAT /end rant) and stays while Mikan leaves with Rushuna and Ya-chan. They meet Fuuka (an old friend of Ya-chan who thought she died) and they also end up fighting. I forgot to say this before but the Empress wants Rushuna dead and the Ten Senshi Sages were chasing after her. Anyway... Fuuka was cool and she and Ya-chan looked like they had something going but crap... she dies again. Motherfucker... Ah, well. Ya-chan, Rushuna, and Mikan walks unto ep.10-13 now...

My first ANIME BLOGGING and it was pretty much pure crap. DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW! I almost always want to know what happens in the end so I ended up finishing this off. I liked most of the characters but the plot with Kishida was meh. I wanted more Rouma/Tamaki.

If you haven't noticed this now... I DO NOT WATCH RAWS. You'll find some of the screencaps will have subtitles. Yay...

I can't say who I love more. I love Vick because, well, he's a running QB. Always been a big fan of those. His stats for passing isn't too good, though. My anime viewing usually happens on the weekends so... yeah... I guess I read about 3-6 volumes during the week, though, so if I feel like posting about those... meh.

NFL!

Well thanks to Paul Hackett/Herman Edwards and Doug Brien, the Jets lost. Herman Edwards fucked up calling for the FG so quickly when we had 40-50 seconds to toss a few more plays while Doug Brien had 2 big chances and messed them both up. I'm not sure if I'm caught up in the moment or what but football has become my favorite sport. Baseball and basketball really has too many games...

Why?! Look at the stats. Forgetting all the other rookies but Big Ben. Big Ben has 2 great WRs (Burress and Ward), 2 great RBs (Staley and THE MOTHER FUCKING BUS, BETTIS), and #1 ranked defense in the league. Big Ben really doesn't need to do much but toss it up there. He showed he wasn't consistent in the last few games and did you see him against the Jets?! Wow... we shouldn't have lost. Vilma on the other hand did more with less, possibly thanks to Donnie Henderson (rookie defensive coordinator), and became the "defense's QB" after Tongue injured himself. He's consistent and has very rarely disappointed the team.

It seems like we have a new offensive coordinator formerly of the Titans. I can't remember his name, yet, but he coached McNair to c0-MVP in 2003 so if Pennington can keep up... it'll be a big jump over Hackett. He's supposedly more aggressive (like Donnie Henderson) so it'll be awesome. What I'm crying now is we have about 4-6 players we need to keep from Free Agency but it doesn't look like we'll keep them. I'm not saying I know for sure but I'm a pessimist. I really hope we don't lose LaMont Jordan, though. In the seasons he's had it looks like he avg. about 4-5yds per touch. WOW... Almost makes me wish Curtis Martin would retire because I don't want to lose LaMont.

Well... that's all for now. I'm going to take a nap... I want to talk about the AFC/NFC championship games next...
